What geo targets does Upwave support?
State Targeting (U.S.)
All 50 states
Metro Area Targeting (U.S.)
All 210 DMAs (see below; table is scrollable)
Zip Code Targeting (not recommend)
Generally, we recommend against zip code targeting due to its impact on feasibility. Please work with your CSM if this is a requirement.
You can choose one of the geo-targeting strategies above (rather than layering multiple geo-targeting strategies). This ensures no conflict in targeting.
For example: You could not target "Florida" and "Los Angeles, CA".
If you are targeting multiple countries, those must be broken out into separate dashboards and meet our feasibility requirements independently.
Where should I configure my geo-targeting settings?
Prior to campaign launch:
Campaign Information Form:
When creating your campaign, input your high-level country targeting for your campaign:
Objectives and Targets Form:
When populating your Objectives and Targets form, input your more granular geo-targeting, such as states or metro areas:
How does geo-targeting impact feasibility?
Please see our article, Campaign Feasibility, for geo-specific feasibility requirements.
This information is also displayed throughout your Campaign Information form when Creating A Campaign.
Can I change my geo-targeting settings later?
Changing your geo-targeting later removes all respondents that fall outside of your new geo-targeting, which could have a large impact on your dashboard results.
